If you haven’t been to Mr Jones since it transformed from its previous incarnation of ‘Catfish’, then I highly recommend taking another trip to visit them. This place has been a breakfast haunt for me for three weekends in a row and for good reason.
I hadn’t been there since it had been called Catfish so my first free weekend I made my mum get up early so we could go and try it out. I was busily preparing for an updated blog post of recommendation for where to eat and drink in Ballarat and I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss any places I really wanted to check out. I’d stalked their Instagram and was really excited by what I had seen so knew what I wanted to order before I even got in the door.
The decor in nicely modern and the food did not disappoint. I had my taste buds set on trying out the Hong Kong bubble waffles and the deep-fried eggs. Mum and I shared. I could have had both on my own.
I decided to style an outfit for the breakfast date as well. I’ve worn something very simial to this before, but it’s an outfit combo I love. It’s also hopefully a nice send-off for this jacket which has been a never started craft project for almost two years. Hoping that I can kick that project off first thing next year. Let’s see how I go! I will report back once the transformation has begun.

I love both the bubble waffles and the deep fried eggs too. I was really skeptical about the eggs as I don't really like fried stuff so I was surprised at how light both meals were. The mango granola is my favourite though.
