Solo

Something I’ve not really done before in my time sharing on this blog is to take photos of myself. Not being able to do so was the biggest barrier to me ever beginning and I overcame that by getting other people’s help. Now for today’s post I had a got at doing it myself. I was terrible.

Rebecca, a blogger I respect and have been following for many years, used to take pictures of herself when she first started. She would use a tripod and a shutter remote and I had read about her experiences trying to get the right shot. After years of doing it, she was pretty good at it. I thought that having plenty of experience having my picture taken to begin with I would pick it up fairly quickly. I was really wrong.

I chose a challenging location too. I had to juggle the timing of myself, the traffic lights and the traffic behind me. I’d have to pause for minutes at a time because cars had put their ugly noses in the front corner of the shot. Then I’d have a few seconds to take the pic and I’d post badly or time it wrong or whatever. It took forever. I had a bright idea after I’d managed to snap these ones but I’d already packed up at that point, so I’ll secretly save that one for another day.

This gorgeous outfit is the last of three with Review for a collaboration series I’ve been doing with them. This shirt is my absolute favourite of all the pieces I have done for them. It’s really elegant but incredibly comfortable. It looks bomber with jeans. The pants are an awesome fit and comfy as heck as well. I think you’ll be seeing a lot more of me in this top though, as it has moved straight to my favourites in my van wardrobe. I hope the style is a regular for review because if they brought it out every few months in a new print or fabric, I’d buy every single one.
