Last weekend I was meant to be attending my favourite music festival: So Frenchy So Chic. I bought an early bird ticket in 2017, had my outfit planned, was doing my makeup fresh from the shower when I realised I had a huge knot of anxiety in my chest while thinking about the festival. I’m not sure what brought it on. It could be that as an introvert, my new job dealing with lots of people all day requires more self-care. I’m not actually sure what it was as anxiety isn’t straightforward like that. So my partner in crime and I decided to have a day of relaxing instead.
We jumped in the car with a list of possible chill out activists. Maybe we could read books on the beach. Maybe we could do some slacklining. We set off in the direction of the ocean because the sound of the beach always makes me feel calm. On the way, we decided to stop for food and ended up at Geelong Cellar Door waiting for the food spot we wanted to open. We enjoyed some wine for a few hours and then went down the street for some ramen. Then we drove to another beach spot and strolled on the pier, ate hot jam doughnuts and watched the sun get low. I hope you enjoy the pics from our adventure, in what will be a record-breaking selection of photos for my little blog. As an aside, Geelong Cellar Door was divine and if I was local it would be one of my drinking spots. The setting is gorgeous, the selection of wine is well curated and delicious, the staff are friendly, professional and really attentive.
