Something I have always found incredibly fun is finding a way to tell stories with my blog images. A picture is worth a thousand words because it can give you a feeling with just a look at it. So when JORD asked to send me one of their gorgeous wooden watches, I began thinking straight away about how to capture something as unique as a watch made of wood.
I checked out their Instagram feed to see how other people were styling their watches. So many people styled it with comfy knits, tweeds, framed by pinecones, firewood, cornfields. So what does a wood watch mean to me?
Watches are beautiful pieces of engineering, but that’s not something one would normally associate with wood. Which I guess is why the combination of wood and the delicate metal mechanics makes these watches so remarkable. Of course for me, with my family of Jaguar enthusiasts, my mind connected straight away to another piece of great engineering that combines the elegance of a raw material like wood with the refined machinery of a car.
