Another year and another Ballarat Heritage Weekend has rolled past. There were a bunch of wonderful events over the two days and I went to as many as I could. The two things I do every year are, of course, the Tweed Ride and a visit to the steam train. I almost didn’t go to the steam train because I was so busy but will a little willpower I ended up attending.
One of the most amusing results of Heritage Weekend is that I gave my mum the task of taking photos of the Tweed Ride so I could worry about running it. I was wearing a special headpiece that had been made just for me and as part of that collaboration, I would need to do some posts on it. I was going to include it in the post about the Tweed Ride. Days later when I finally got around to editing the pics I discovered only one burst of photos of me, and this below is from that set.
Of the 720 pictures of the event, there was the above imagery of me, as well as over 400 photos of my nephew. I’ve now threatened to keep the photos of my nephew from my family for a designated period of time so that they can think about their responsibilities during public events when tasked with being the event photographer.
Mum then took the train pics of me the next day. It was lovely just to go on the train with her as we do it every year.
