For this Flower Crown Friday I’m giving a recap of my 30th birthday! Happy birthday to me and all that jazz. Last week I celebrated by taking the day off work, visiting my uni in Geelong and hanging out with my sister, mum and nephew as well as a brief dinner date with my buddy Lovisa. It was all really low key. Well, at least from my end. My sister had other plans.
My sister showed up on my doorstep (late, because she’s one to make an entrance) with giant 3-0 balloons, handed me a glass of champagne and a flower crown. I stood there like a total boobie feeling very pleased with myself while she flittered around taking photos and ordering my parents around. After quite a bit of kerfuffle we did get away and I just made it to my uni meeting in time.
The flower crowns she had made for me instead of getting me a cheap party hat. They were made by Kaitlyn Schiltz at Jenny Burke Florist (facebook and instagram). We wore them most of the day and even out at dinner. It made everything feel nicely elegant and special.
Sister also fed me virgin cocktails all day, which was a blast because they’re tasty, they look great and you don’t have to worry about driving afterwards.
It was a wonderful day, feeling very relaxed and enjoying the nice beach weather. Thanks all for the birthday wishes. It’s been lovely!
