Welcome Spring

I have been so ready for spring for a while now, and when cherry blossoms begin blooming it’s only a matter of time. It’s these few weeks that I’m reminded just how many blossom trees there are in Ballarat. The streets look gorgeous and petals keep falling like snow. Already the days are noticeably longer, and I’ve extended my collection of crop tops to wear through to the hot weather.

My best friend Tegan alerted me to this sweet crop set from Chicwish. I’d wanted it since then and finally settled on it for my sister’s baby shower. If you’ve seen that post already, you’ll now that it didn’t arrive in time. I’m kind of glad it did, because I don’t think I would have worn it anyway. The skirt is not cut straight, so the hem randomly hangs over ten centimetres lower just to the right of my knee. It’s the strangest cut! Anyway, I’ll be getting my accomplished seamstress aunt to have a look at it before wearing it for spring, in order to get it fitting and sitting really nicely. I thought about sending it back to get another, but the skirt on the website is also a bit wonky, as are the ones pictured by bloggers on Instagram. I figured it will be easier to polish it myself.

I’ve also got this amazing pair of coral sandals for summer. I had a pair of sandals last summer the same colour, but the heel was too low and I always felt a little frumpy in them. I can see me wearing these until they break.
