Just to state the obvious, it’s winter and it’s flipping cold. Is it any wonder that I have had a cold sore for the last few weeks? Ballarat is now at it’s coldest, and everyone is hoping that we will get some snow like last year. Snow in Ballarat is uncommon. Fortunately for us, we don’t have white winters. It does get wet, and cold enough that you don’t want to go outside, and that’s where a velvet skirt proves it’s worth.
This skirt has come into my life very recently after a day out with my bestie Tegan. I’d just finished my exams and took the opportunity to catch up with her outside of work with no study or commitments to think about. We finally got the chance to head into The Little Vintage Shop and browse at leisure.
I found this thick and warm maxi velvet skirt on one of the racks and was really excited when it fit me. It’s really warm and comfortable to wear and I’ve worn it constantly since. The colours are grey, white, salmon and blue.
I was also really chuffed that a scarf I inherited from my grandmother matched with it really well. I love scarves, and I usually jump at the chance to style one with whatever I am wearing.
